Gratitude Monday

I’m thankful this week for those little tidbits of knowledge one picks up along the way. For example, yesterday I stepped out of the house into the 90+ degree afternoon to go pick Julia up from work and discovered the right front tire of the car was flat. While wrestling the thing off and getting the donut spare on, only to discover it too was too low on pressure to drive on, I got extremely overheated. So while I was waiting for my dad (the true hero of this post) to bring me his portable air compressor and get me on my way, I grabbed my metal Kleen Kanteen water bottle from the fridge and pressed it to my neck. It’s amazing how quickly I felt myself cool off. This may sound silly now from where you sit, dear reader, in your air conditioned wherever, but to me it felt like a life saver!

  1. Nothing better than pulling on pair of socks on a cold day, Here it’s in the sixties and raining all the time. What a difference 2500 makes.
