Gratitude Monday

I love the changing of the seasons. Yes, we are still locked firmly in the grip of summer here, but last week, after a couple days of rain, it feels like something shifted. Driving home from town last night, I noted to Julia that all the trees and vegetation look tired; worn out by the relentless sun. But there is a hint of crispness in the morning, the days are a little shorter, and the evenings get cool a little faster. Fall is just around the corner, and that is my favorite time of year. There is still plenty of time for evening swims and baseball games, but those days are coming closer to their end.
