Gratitude Monday

The Eastside Bakery Edition.

KWQ6 News in Davenport, Iowa, did a little feature on my sister’s bakery. Dig it:

Whenever I pass through Iowa, or even need to be in the SW Chicago area, I do my best to stop by for some grub and to visit with my sister. I was there last fall, and I can give proper testimony to the quality of the vittles Nikki and the boys serve up, trust me.

What does this have to do with gratitude? I’ll just say I’m happy my sister and her crew stuck it out and, after tons of sweat, hard work, and little sleep, seem to be making it. I’m proud of them. And I’m grateful for the calories she’s supplied me with over the years.

    1. Missoula has a number of great bakeries. It’s one of my favorite things about this town. Bakeries, and lots of good local beer. And bookstores! Come visit, Patti!
