Midday Music

While reflecting on 2011, I realized I wasn’t making the effort to listen to as much music as I used to, or I bogged down on a narrow rotation of just a few records that I though I was only into at the time. Invariably, if I put something on outside of my rut I’d enjoy it. So for 2012, my plan is to try and listen to a different, unlistened-to for the year record every day. I figure a perfect time for this will be over my midday break, as it is something I can do from home or on the road. Hence the zippy title of this page. I’m going to keep a running tally for the year here, with weekly posts every Monday listing what I listened to that week. Obviously I’ll try and listen to more than a record a day, but the goal is to listen to at least one, every day, that I haven’t listened to yet this year. Or that’s the plan, at least. . . .
