>One of the Best Things About Chicago

>I’ve been meaning to mention this the last three times through here. WBEZ — Chicago Public Radio is awesome.

And this image apparently represents the hopes of my friends who yearn for a “truly conservative” ticket in 2012 to repair the damage certain to come over the next 4 years.

I can’t imagine Palin surviving a real primary season, so I doubt we’ll see it. I could be wrong though. Nor do I really care, now that I think about it.

  1. >Really, I’m getting sick of everyone predicting that Obama’s going to hurt the country somehow. As if we haven’t been raped and pillaged for the last 8 years… Now, Pelosi, her I could do without. But let’s give Obama a chance before we start rooting for the other team.

  2. >There was a joke on Leno the other night:”Sarah Palin’s been getting thousands of calls from people encouraging her to run for president in 2012. Yeah, they’re all Democrats!”

  3. >April: I know what you mean. I’m sick of it too. That’s a particularly good Leno joke, Patia.Last night the Daily Show showed a montage of news organizations falling all over themselves to track Obama’s every move: Obama getting on the plane, the plane in the air, the plane landing, “is that Obama in the car, I think it is!” stuff. And then all the different agencies talking about the “historic meeting with Bush.” To see all the hyperbole spliced together in a montage last night . . . I about fell down I was laughing so hard. Which was good, because as my post from last night probably indicates, I was a weeeee bit cranky.
